A Receive order can have several related lines, which represent the inventory that will be physically entered into the warehouse. These lines are known as receive lines.

Create a new receive line
Criteria for creating a new receive line:
- The user must have access to the account and warehouse assigned to the Receive order.
- The user must have the permission to edit Receive orders enabled.
- The Receive order must be in the Open status.
Steps to create a new receive line:
- From the main menu, go to the Receive Orders.
- Find the Receive order in which you want to create a new receive line.
- In the Edit column, click the
button.
- In the Lines section, enter the name of the part number in the Part number field. You can do this in two different ways:
- Enter the quantity expected to be received for the part number in the Expected field.
- Press Add. With this, the information will appear in the list of lines you will receive for the order.

Ways to enter a part number
Currently, you can enter the part number in two different ways:
Search by name
If you know at least the first two letters of the part number, enter it in the Part number field. As you type, you will see a dropdown list with options that match what you have entered, where you can select the part number you will receive for your client.
Advanced search
This option allows you to search for the part number you will receive using any of the following part number details:

Name.
Alternative name.
Price.
Description.
Additionally, the results can be filtered by any of the following criteria:

Starts with: When you know the first few letters of the data you want to search for.
Equals: When you know the exact data.
Ends with: When you know the last few letters of the data you want to search for.
Contains: When you know some of the letters of the data you want to search for.
To access this option, click the button in the Part number field, and follow these steps:

Click Search for the part number located in the bottom left corner of the new window.
Select the data by which you want to filter the information.
Select the criterion by which you want to filter the information.
Enter the detail of the part number you expect to receive and click Search. In the following image, we are searching for all part numbers whose description starts with the text Transistor.
Press the
button in the window titled Search...
In the window that remained open, in the Part number column, click on the name of the part number you want to add to the order.
Edit receive lines
Criteria for editing a receive line:
- The user must have access to the account and warehouse assigned to the Receive order.
- The user must have the permission to edit Receive orders enabled.
- The Receive order must be in the Open status.
- When an order is in Received status, the received quantity and package type can be modified. To learn how to modify it, consult the following section.
Edit a receive line
Assuming you want to edit the quantity expected to be received for the part number Transistor BJ450 to the new quantity of 30.
Steps to edit a receive line:
- From the main menu, go to the Receive Orders.
- Find the Receive order in which you want to create a new receive line.
- In the Edit column, click the
button.
- Within the order, find the line with the part number Transistor BJ450 and double-click in the column named Expected.
- Delete the current quantity.
- Enter the new quantity of 30 and press Enter.
Note: You can use the steps above to edit any other field you require in the order.
Edit multiple receive lines
This option is useful when multiple receive lines need to have the same information.
Assuming that when adding receive lines to an order, you omitted entering the purchase order 95476 on 3 of its lines.
Steps to edit multiple receive lines:
- Within the order, enable the Edit multiple lines option.
- Check the boxes on the left side of each line you want to modify.
- If you need to edit all the lines of the Receive order, check the following box.
- If you need to edit all the lines of the Receive order, check the following box.
- In the Purchase Order, field, enter the purchase order 95476.
- Click the Edit multiple lines button.
- With the previous step, the 3 lines will have the new purchase order 95476.
Edit packages for previously received orders
Criteria for editing already received packages:
- The user must have access to the account and warehouse assigned to the Receive order.
- The user must have the permission to edit Receive orders enabled.
- The user must have the permission to edit the package type and quantity after the order has been received enabled.
- The Receive order must be in the Received status.
Steps to edit already received packages:
- Within the order, find the label line you want to modify and double-click in the Package Type or Packages column.
- If editing the packages, click again to open the dropdown list that includes the available packages.
- If editing the packages, click again to open the dropdown list that includes the available packages.
- Enter the number of packages or select the appropriate package type.
- To save the changes, press Enter.
Delete receive lines
Criteria for deleting a receive line:
- The user must have access to the account and warehouse where the inventory will be received.
- The user must have the permission to edit Receive orders enabled.
- The Receive order must be in the Open status.
Delete a receive line
Steps to delete a receive line:
- From the main menu, go to the Receive Orders.
- Find the Receive order in which you want to delete the receive line.
- In the Edit column, click the
button.
- Within the order, find the line you want to delete and click the
button.
- The previous step will display a new dialog; click Ok to delete the line.
Delete multiple receive lines
Warning: Using this option will select multiple lines of the Receive order, allowing them to be permanently deleted when using the delete option.
Steps to delete multiple receive lines:
- Within the Receive order, check the boxes for the lines you want to delete.
- If you need to delete all lines from the Receive order, check the following box.
- If you need to delete all lines from the Receive order, check the following box.
- Click the Remove lines button.
- The previous step will display a new dialog; click Delete to remove the lines.
Split receive lines
Line splitting is mainly used when each line of the order in S&T physically represents a label that will be attached to the packages/lines being received.
Criteria for splitting a receive line:
- The user must have access to the account and warehouse where the inventory will be received.
- The user must have the permission to edit Receive orders enabled.
- The Receive order must be in the Open status.
Split a receive line into two lines
Consider the following example where initially, a single receive line was entered for a box with 100 pieces of the part number Transistor BJ450, but it will need to be physically stored in 2 boxes, one box with 40 pieces and the second with 60. Both boxes will be labeled.
Steps to split a receive line:
- Within the Receive order, on the line that has the part number Transistor BJ450 assigned, click the
button.
- Enter the quantity of 60 in the new dialog that the system will display.
- Click the Create split button; this will create a second line with the indicated quantity and modify the first line with the remaining quantity.
Split a receive line into multiple lines
Taking into consideration the following example where for the part number Transistor BJ450, 3000 pieces are being received in 60 boxes, where each box has 50 pieces and we are interested in labeling each of the boxes.
Steps to split a receive line into multiple lines:
- Within the Receive order, on the line that has the part number Transistor BJ450 assigned, click the
button.
- The previous step will show you a new dialog where you must enter the quantity of 59; this number represents the total quantity of new lines that will be generated from the original line.
- Enter the quantity of 50, which is the number of pieces each box contains.
- Click the Create split button, this will generate the new receive lines with the specified quantities.
