A shipping order can include multiple lines representing inventory to be shipped from the warehouse. These are called shipping lines.

Create a new shipping line
Requirements to create a shipping line:
- User must have access to the source account and warehouse.
- User must have "Edit Shipping Orders" permission enabled.
- Shipping order must be in Open or Editing status.
Steps to create a shipping line:
- From the main menu, go to Shipping Orders.
- Locate the target shipping order.
- Click the
button in the Edit column.
- In the Part Number/Item Selection section:
- Alternatively, add multiple part numbers using Stock & Trace's CSV template (see related article).
Select only the part number
- Search for the part number in the item selector and click a matching result.
- This adds a shipping line with the selected part number.
- Double-click the Requested qty. column, enter the total quantity, and press Enter.
Partially ship a labeled batch
- Search for the label in the item selector and click its name.
- This adds a shipping line with the specified label.
- Enter a quantity ≤ the label's total stock in Requested qty.
Fully ship a labeled batch
- Search for the label and click its stock quantity.
- This adds a shipping line with the label's full quantity.
Edit a shipping line
Requirements to edit shipping lines:
- Access to source account/warehouse.
- "Edit Shipping Orders" permission.
- Order must be in Open or Editing status.
- For Shipped orders, only package type/quantity and custom fields can be modified (details).
Example: Update quantity for part BJT450 Transistor to 40 units.
- Navigate to Shipping Orders.
- Locate the target order.
- Click
in the Edit column.
- Find the BJT450 Transistor line and double-click Requested Qty.
- Delete current value and enter 40.
Note: These steps apply to editing any field in the order.
Edit packages for shipped orders
Requirements:
- Access to source account/warehouse.
- "Edit Shipping Orders" permission.
- "Modify Shipped Packages" permission.
- Order must be in Shipped status.
- Double-click Pkg Qty or Pkg Type.
- Click again to open package dropdown.
- Update values and press Enter.
Delete shipping lines
Requirements:
- Access to source account/warehouse.
- "Edit Shipping Orders" permission.
- Order in Open or Editing status.
Warning: This permanently deletes selected lines.
- Check boxes for lines to delete.
- Check here to delete all lines:

- Click Remove Line items
- Confirm deletion in dialog.
