How to add locations to a warehouse with CSV?

When a warehouse is created in S&T and requires a significant number of locations, this option can be used to add all locations automatically without manual creation.

Essential criteria:

• The user must have access to all warehouses registered in the system.
• The user must have the "Create Warehouses" permission enabled.
• The names of locations to be added must be unique.

Steps to follow:

1. From the system setup, navigate to the Warehouses menu.
2. Search for the warehouse where you want to add locations.
3. In the Import column, click the  button. This will redirect you to a new window.
4. Click the Download Template tab and select here [CSV template] to download the working template.
   
5. Open the downloaded file, which contains fields for location information.
6. Enter the new location name in the Location column.
7. Enter Y in the Enabled column to activate the location.
8. Optional:
   • Enter Y in the On_hold column to also enable it as a hold location.
   • Enter picking in the Type column to enable it as a picking location.
   • You may add a short text or phrase in the Notes field.
     
9. Save your changes to the file.
10. Return to the system and click the Import CSV tab.
11. Click the button.
12. Browse and select the file you saved on your computer.
13. Click the Submit File button.
