Setup of package types

The package types will be the types of containers in which you will store the inventory that you manage for your clients or internal operations.

 This article covers the following topics:

• Create a package type.
• Edit a package type.
• Delete a package type.

Create a package type

Criteria for creating a new package type:

• The user must have the permission to create packages enabled.
• The package name must be unique in the package type catalog.

Steps to create a new package type:

1. From the Setup menu, go to the Packages.
2. Click the Create button.
3. Enter the name of the package type.
4. As additional information, you can register the package dimensions by selecting the unit of measurement for the package dimensions.
   1. Enter the width of the package.
   2. Enter the height.
   3. Enter the depth.
5. Press Create.

   

Edit a package type

Criteria for editing a package type:

• The user must have the permission to edit packages enabled.

Steps to edit a package type:

1. From the Setup menu, go to the Packages.
2. Search for the package type you want to edit.                                                   
3. In the Edit column, click the button .
4. Modify the required information.
5. Press  to save the changes.

Delete a package type

Criteria for deleting a package type:

• The user must have the permission to delete packages enabled.
• The package type was not used in the inventory.

Steps to delete a package type:

1. From the Setup menu, go to the Packages.
2. Search for the package type you want to delete.                                                   
3. 
4. In the Remove column, click the button , this will open a new dialog.         
5. Click the Delete button.
