Enable a custom header field
Essential criteria:
- The user must be a super administrator.
Steps to enable a custom header field:
- From the main menu, go to the Setup.
- Go to the Customization menu and then to the Shipping orders configuration menu.
- In the Header fields section, check the Custom boxes depending on the number of fields you want to enable.
- Click the Update button.
- The previous step will allow you to see the new fields in the header of the shipping order.
Disable a custom header field
It is possible to disable a custom field that will no longer be used to prevent it from being visible in shipping orders.
Essential criteria:
- The user must be a super administrator.
- When disabling a field, users will lose access to the data previously entered in that field on previous orders.
Steps to disable a custom header field:
- From the main menu, go to the Setup.
- Go to the Customization menu and then to the Shipping orders configuration menu.
- In the Header fields section, uncheck the boxes of the custom fields.
- Click the Update button.
- The previous step will remove the corresponding fields from the header of the shipping order.
Edit the name of a custom header field
In most cases, custom fields need a name different from the default to make it easier for collaborators to identify the data. For this reason, users with the appropriate permissions can edit these names.
Essential criteria:
- The user must have the Customize field titles permission enabled.
Steps to edit the name of a custom header field:
- From the main menu, go to the Setup.
- Go to the Customization menu and then to the Customize field titles menu.
- Click the Shipping tab, and then enter the new name for the corresponding field.
- Click Save. This will display the new names in the header of the shipping order.
- Additionally, when the field name is changed, it will also change in the Shipping orders configuration.
Enable a custom item field
Essential criteria:
- The user must be a super administrator.
Steps to enable a custom item field:
- From the main menu, go to the Setup.
- Go to the Customization menu and then to the Shipping orders configuration menu.
- In the Line item fields section, check the box for Custom 1 and/or Custom 2.
- Click the Update button.
- The previous step will allow you to see the new fields in the lines of the shipping order.
Disable a custom item field
