Stock & Trace is a WMS designed to be accessed via the Web, so the device used to access the system does not need to meet minimum technical specifications such as a specific processor type, a minimum amount of RAM, among others.
As a web-based system, the only thing necessary to take into account is the internet browser that will be used to log in to the system as well as its version. In this article, we will explain which browsers can be used and what should be considered for each browser:
This article covers the following topics:
Scanner's native browser
Scanners, as they use Android systems, already have a pre-installed browser by default. If you wish to use this native scanner browser, it is necessary to verify that the Android system version is one of the versions that has active support. As of today (February 10, 2025), the Android versions with active support are:
- Android 12
- Android 13
- Android 14
- Android 15
If your scanner has an older version of the Android system, although S&T might work, we cannot guarantee the correction of defects associated with Android versions older than those mentioned above.
An alternative to using the scanner's native browser is to download an additional internet browser; for this, consult the next section.
Main internet browsers
An alternative to the scanner's native browser is to download an additional internet browser. In this case, we suggest downloading one of the following main internet browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
If you use one of the browsers above, you must consider that the scanner must be able to download the latest version of the browser or one of the two previous versions. This allows the scanner to have an older Android system version as long as that Android version allows downloading one of the 3 most recent versions of the internet browser you will use.
If you use an older version of the internet browser, although S&T might work, we cannot guarantee the correction of defects associated with older browser versions.
If you wish to check the latest version of each of the previously mentioned browsers, you can visit the WhatIsMyBrowser.com page.
