When the product of an order is being packaged, there will be sometimes when a serial scan is requested, this is because some of the part numbers on the order have enabled the Register the serials only at packaging setting causing a serial scan is required before the order can be shipped.
This setting can only be setup by a super-administrator, so if you consider there is a mistake in a part number setup, you should contact your super-administrator so the required changes can be applied.
